It has been thirty years since the Kingdom of Maevund was reduced to ashes by an unknown force. History has now begun to repeat itself within the borders of Taethland to the south. Grenhilde, displaced from her home and living the life of a vagrant, seeks to uncover the truth of the mysterious calamity and avenge her family.

To do so, she recruits the help of Korvald, a handsome barbarian from the mountains of Holthur. Grenhilde is low on gold, but Kor is perfectly happy to accept... alternative forms of payment. Together, they set out to face the darkness descending upon Taethland, forging a bond in the fires of passion that is quenched in rivers of blood.
